Lights out and the party's on — a Formula 1 race as one living timing strip

PARTY MODE replays a Formula 1 Grand Prix as a single horizontal strip, with every car placed by its gap to the leader. Pick a race or qualifying session from the library and press play: hand-illustrated driver portraits ride their cars along the timeline while a live timing tower re-sorts positions, intervals, and tyre compounds in real time. A lap-history chart traces the whole race underneath, yellow flags wash the strip, and overtake call-outs pop as places change. Scrub the playback from 1× up to 60×, filter to the top 10 or the leaders, scroll to zoom, and drag to pan across the field.

Lights out: the grid launches and the field strings out along the gap-to-leader axis. The timing tower re-sorts live with intervals and lap times, overtake call-outs flash as positions swap, and the lap-history chart fills in below. Speed it up to 60× to watch a full Grand Prix play out in seconds.
