Keitrain
A small kei truck turned into a hands-on robotics platform, combining onboard computing, vehicle controls, a driving dashboard, and custom fabricated parts.

A truck with its own stack
A Raspberry Pi gateway works with a Raspberry Pi Pico for actuator control. The project brings the software, vehicle hardware, and driving dashboard together in one small platform for experimenting with robotic motion.
Built to fit
Custom fabrication work includes bed covers, camera mounts, and support structures. Each part has to make room for the electronics while working within the proportions of the truck.
Software meets hardware
The control system includes connection handling, deployment checks, and rollback tooling. Work on the vehicle spans the dashboard, embedded controls, and physical assembly, so changes can be tested as part of a complete system.
Next: learning a route
Autonomous navigation is the next stage of development, with indoor mapping and outdoor route-following under consideration. The current project is a vehicle-control and fabrication platform; self-driving capability is still in development.
